The ATV trail is a place for dirt, mud, gravel and romance?
Today’s ladies are hardly the proper models of the Victorian Era; in fact, there are plenty of gals out there just itching to ride their four-wheelers with as much gusto as their male counterparts. So if you’re a dude who’s scratching his head for the perfect place to woo your next girlfriend, why not choose an ATV trail excursion?
Of course, in order to ensure that your adventure is on the amorous side, you’ll need to incorporate a little bit of heartfelt and sincere sweetness into the occasion. Start off by sending your “special friend” an invite for an ATV cruise to watch the sunset from a trail nearby. The invitation should be handwritten and sent via the mail, or, if you’re cyber-savvy, emailed.
Plan your date as you would any other. First, map out the perfect ATV trail based on your companion’s four-wheeling level. If she’s just starting out (or hasn’t ridden before), choose a smooth path that will leave her breathless and smiling, but definitely not terrified. On the other hand, if she’s a veteran ATV operator, you can up the ante by picking out a more technically difficult trail filled with twists and turns. Regardless, make certain you know the mileage so you’re at the appropriate spot come nightfall (a sunset always makes a lovely date backdrop.)
Because this is a date, you’ll want to look your best. Though ATV riding can be a dirty proposition, a suit and tie is wildly inappropriate; however, that doesn’t mean you have to show up looking like a slob. At least comb your hair and trim your fingernails. Remember to brush your teeth, too, as most people like fresh breath.

Auto navigation systems are offering many options to a growing number of consumers each and every year. From systems that are factory installed into automobiles by the automakers themselves to those that simply plug into the car’s battery adapter to use on the go and take along with you, there is a little something for every type of consumer when it comes to these nifty devices and systems. Even those who don’t limit their travels to automobiles can find a device that would work for them as well. There are even devices that are made with water travel in mind and famous for their endurance of less than optimal weather conditions.
While you are not limited to auto navigation systems in order to find your way, they do make being lost a lot easier to handle. In fact, you are never truly lost if you have a reliable auto navigation system. These systems are designed to help you navigate back roads, country roads, city roads, main streets, and out of the way high ways like a pro and they deliver on their promise for the most part.
There are a few glitches just as there are with road maps, the major difference between a common atlas and these navigational devices is that they have up to date information that is quite reliable in most instances (unless there are unannounced road closings and such) and you are limited to the data at the time an atlas or road map was printed when relying on those for directions and navigational input. Additionally you are limited to the combined map reading skills of those in the vehicle. Map reading is a lost art for many and is becoming less and less emphasized as a growing number of people are turning to navigational devices for direction and guidance.

- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. margarine, melted
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 c. flour
- 1 c. quick-rolled oats
- 1 c. applesauce
- 1 c. raisins
- 1 tsp. soda
- 3 pkgs. sugar substitute
Place all ingredients in bowl and mix well. Drop by teaspoons on cookie sheet and bake for 10 to 12 minutes at 375 degrees. Makes about 3 dozen.
DIABETIC PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES

- 1/2 c. peanut butter
- 1 tbsp. low calorie oleo
- 2 1/2 tsp. liquid sweetener
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. flour
- 1/4 tsp. soda
- 1/2 c. skimmed milk
Beat first 4 ingredients well. Add eggs and beat again, then add milk and flour. Blend well. Drop by spoon on cookie sheet that is greased well. Bake at 375 degrees for 12 minutes.
DIABETIC FRUIT CAKES

- 2 c. water
- 2 c. raisins
- 1 c. unsweetened apple sauce
- 2 eggs
- 2 tbsp. liquid sweetener
- 3/4 c. cooking oil
- 1 tsp. soda
- 2 c. plain flour
- 1 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Cook raisins in water until water is gone. Add the applesauce, eggs, sweetener and oil and mix well. Blend in the other ingredients which have been sifted together. Add vanilla. Pour into greased and floured pans, preferably loaf pans. Bake about 1 hour at 350 degrees or until done. Makes 10 to 12 servings.
- 1 1/2 c. unsweetened applesauce
- 3/4 c. margarine

- 1/3 c. brown sugar substitute, suitable for baking
- 2 c. oatmeal
- 1 tbsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. allspice
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. raisins
- 1/4 c. nuts
Mix applesauce, margarine, eggs, vanilla and brown sugar substitute well; add the remaining ingredients. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a cookie sheet and bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes.
